About us

We didn't set out to teach a language.

We set out to close the distance between people who live three feet apart and still can't talk to each other.

Two people having a real conversation

"You can spend years in a classroom conjugating verbs for a country you'll never speak in. Or you can spend twenty minutes a week talking to someone real, about something real, in the language your own city already speaks. We chose the second one."

Our starting point

Our teachers

Every tutor is formally trained and credentialed to teach Spanish in Mexico — language education is their profession, not a side gig.

What we believe

01

Fluency over paperwork

We're tutors, not a certifying body. Our only measure of success is whether you can hold a real conversation — nothing goes on a wall.

02

The language is already yours

Spanish isn't foreign to North County — it's already part of daily life here. We help people step into it, not import it from a textbook.

03

People teach people

No apps, no algorithms deciding your pace. A trained teacher, watching you, adjusting to you, every class.
